Position:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Orthopedic Services

Schedule:

40 hours per week, Weekdays, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between patient and provider; administer and document medications ordered by the provider; communicate medication orders to the patient’s pharmacy.
  • Assist with interpretation of patient data; recognize relationships between data and patient health status and treatment plans.
  • Record and report patient information; document findings accurately in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Review and document procedures, medications, supplies, or additional testing in the patient’s chart.
  • Triages and documents all incoming patient calls regarding medications, medical conditions; coordinate with the provider when indicated.
  • Prepare and stock examination rooms and supply areas.

Overall, contribute to patient care and align with the Medical Center’s mission and values.

What You'll Need
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program; previous clinical or health care setting experience preferred.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
