Overview
Atrium Health Lincoln is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in Nursing:
Obstetrics/Gynecology. This position is benefits eligible and PRN, primarily on night shift. Pay range: $34.90 - $52.35 per hour.
Atrium Health Lincoln offers comprehensive maternity services in a warm environment. Our birthing center, New Beginnings, provides labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care with mother-baby couplet care. A level 2 nursery and pediatric hospitalist support are available. The campus includes extensive facilities and a strong community focus.
Major ResponsibilitiesEngages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families from admission to post-discharge.
Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
Administers medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to clinical protocols.
Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution to foster team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making; respects interdisciplinary roles and contributes to integrated, unbiased patient care.
Provides appropriate delegation to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse assistants, and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
May be required to float to other units, departments, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served and understands age-specific needs as described in department standards.
Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where nursing services are provided. Telehealth/virtual practice requires licensure in the client location state(s).
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
6 months of RN experience required. Labor & Delivery experience required.
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
Time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency with computer functions (e.g., email, electronic records, digital platforms).
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently.
Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds; assist with patient and equipment handling.
Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs of force and perform sliding transfers with assistance as needed.
Must have functional communication, vision, hearing, and touch; fine motor skills for procedures.
May be exposed to chemicals, hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases with appropriate PPE.
Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and unit conditions.
Physical Abilities Testing may be required; department-specific requirements may apply.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
