Production Manager, Operations Manager
The Shift Supervisor I is responsible for both operational execution and workforce development. This includes coaching, training, and developing Leads as part of the plant's leadership pipeline, driving accountability, and ensuring consistent application of company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures across the shift. The position maintains technical oversight of manufacturing processes while prioritizing team workload and fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, supervise, and develop production, maintenance, and warehouse employees during the assigned shift.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and corrective action while setting clear expectations and driving accountability for safety, attendance, conduct, and performance.
- Support workforce development by mentoring Leads and training employees on processes, equipment, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce PPE, safe work practices, permits, JSAs, and housekeeping standards (5S).
- Promote a strong safety culture by addressing hazards, incidents, and near misses, and leading safety meetings and inspections.
- Execute production schedules to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment availability while collaborating with maintenance, planning, and other departments.
- Monitor manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and oversee quality assurance processes during the shift.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, production reporting, scrap reduction, and operational improvements.
- Communicate priorities, operational updates, and shift performance clearly across teams and leadership.
- Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field from an accredited university or institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
- 1+ years of fiberglass/glass and/or building materials manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, including all Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to lead a team and capable to make informed decisions and provide clear direction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, managers, and upper management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively and capacity to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in production schedules or unexpected challenges. Capacity to make informed decisions based on data and critical thinking and make timely decisions to keep production processes running smoothly.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $77,000 to $119,000 per year.
However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $83,100 to $128,500. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
