Overview
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our Team in our Youngsville, NC location! This will be a 2nd shift position operating from 1pm - 10pm with some flexibility required as needed. The Second Shift Production Coordinator supports evening production operations by coordinating workflow between departments to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time. This role works closely with scheduling, production, quality, and warehouse teams to organize priorities, track progress, and communicate updates across departments.
The Production Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining production flow, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the scheduling team to understand daily production volume, priorities, and builder deadlines.
- Coordinate production workflow between departments to ensure jobs move efficiently through each stage of production.
- Monitor job progress during second shift and communicate updates, delays, or issues to appropriate departments.
- Ensure production teams have the necessary materials, tools, and information required to complete jobs accurately and on schedule.
- Track job completion and help prioritize work to support production goals.
- Communicate with first shift leadership regarding job status, incomplete work, or production needs for the following day.
- Assist in organizing work areas and production queues to support an efficient workflow.
- Support inventory awareness by monitoring usage of production supplies and communicating needs as necessary.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting as required.
- Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols including proper machine operation, forklift safety, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 3–5 years of related manufacturing, production, or operations experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to consistently follow standard operating procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and/or move while performing job duties; must be able to bend, stoop or reach when performing job duties.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, infrequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Requires repetitive motion using hands, arms.
- Must have dexterity of hand and fingers to operate equipment.
- Exposure to pollutants, gases, dust, fumes, odors, poor ventilation, etc.
- Ability to use a respirator and pass a respirator fit test.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to temperature ranges from 65 to 95 degrees F as well as low and high humidity ranges. The employee may on occasion be exposed to any number of adverse shop elements/odors to the extent of being disagreeable.
- The noise level in the work environment may be somewhat loud.
- Work in this occupation involves use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection.
