GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the ART, SMART, and OPTYX systems. The position interacts routinely with all areas of production as well as materials, maintenance, and quality assurance. Routine manufacturing shifts and hours will apply.

• Manage raw material product flow through ART, SMART and OPTYX systems and other assigned areas
• Maintain quality of product passing through ART, SMART, and OPTYX systems in accordance with company established standards
• Manage sanitation requirements for ART, SMART, and OPTYX systems
• Perform and maintain operational requirements for ART, SMART, and OPTYX systems
• Perform required PM’s and select maintenance of ART, SMART, and OPTYX systems
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot technical equipment and machinery across all production areas as needed
• Any and all other duties assigned by Supervisor

• SKILLS: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, advanced computer application skills. Strong analytical, logic, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work safely at a fast pace, follow directions and conduct quality and safety inspections.
• ADDITIONAL: Dynamic, hands‑on ability to work in an extremely fast‑paced, team‑oriented food processing environment. Must have the ability to make decisions, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, and interact well with others.

• Mobility to work in a typical shop, mechanical room, or related maintenance setting, including operating typical trade equipment, hand and power tools and standard office equipment, and to drive a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb and work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, to work in a cold environment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work in a cold environment (35° on Plant floor).

• Must be able to respond to emergencies after hours.
• Must be able to work flexible hours

• High School Diploma or GED required
