The Material Handler is responsible for supplying materials to support production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking and issuing materials/supplies.

• Supports production by pulling all materials necessary to complete shops orders
• Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested
• Verifies and maintains product identification and count
• Communicates with lead and assemblers to determine schedule of work for pulling materials
• Prepares inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock counts
• Performs in-process production scrap duties
• Organizes material shelves/staging areas as needed for optimum efficiency
• Operates material movement equipment as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others and other equipment
• Supports departmental goals and objectives for quality, production, and equipment maintenance
• Maitains clean work areas; generates move or scrap transactions as needed to ensure inventory accuracy
• Comply with all established safety procedures and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Assists with operation of manufacturing equipment as directed
• Performs weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessary

• Must have the ability to take an active role in recommending and implementing continuous improvements in the material handling department
• Must have the ability to successfully complete on-the-job training (OJT) requirements
• Must possess the ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards
• Must have the ability to earn motorized material handling equipment license
• Basic computer skills required

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum three months related experience

• 1% possible
