General plant labor, including operating machinery, forklift operation, lab sampling, grinder operation, rotator and slurry meat operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds, and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.

• General plant labor
• Utilize and operate a forklift
• Utilize lab equipment to take samples and perform tests on products
• Temperature monitoring of product and rotator operation
• Fresh meat sampling / Frozen meat sampling
• Raw product unloading
• Finished product loading
• Plate freezer operation
• Inventory counts
• Stretch wrapper operation
• Pressure washer operation
• Housekeeping, hosing down floors, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
• Shovel and clean up spills in the plant
• Keep barrels emptied of trash and products
• Clean equipment from top to bottom
• Help unstop screw conveyors
• Cut plastic and product off of screw
• Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains
• Paint as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED

• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred
• Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred
• Works well with others in a team environment
• Dependable, reliable, ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed

Physical demands and work environment:
Exposed to high noise level, strong odors, and/or exposure to heat and cold; bio‑hazardous conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals requiring safety considerations; electrical hazards and risk of electrical shock; potentially dangerous equipment; occasional off‑site travel.

Physical demands:
Must lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, walk in the plant, use hands and fingers, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, speak, hear, and use vision effectively. No special vision requirements.
