What You Need To KnowGenesis Products is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for our fabrication manufacturing plant specializing in wood panel processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Product Inspections:
Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. - Defect Identification and Reporting:
Identify defects such as dimensional inaccuracies, surface imperfections, or material inconsistencies and document findings accurately. - Testing and Measurement:
Use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to verify product dimensions and tolerances. - Process Monitoring:
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control protocols and recommend adjustments when necessary. - Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and teammates to address quality concerns and implement solutions. - Compliance with Standards:
Ensure all inspection activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Skills And Abilities
- Quality Control Expertise:
Proven experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or wood panel processing environment. - Measurement Tools Proficiency:
Skilled in using tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, or other precision instruments for inspections. - Attention to Detail:
Strong ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications with accuracy and consistency. - Documentation
Skills:
Ability to maintain detailed inspection records and communicate findings effectively. - Problem-Solving
Skills:
Capability to recommend corrective actions or process improvements based on inspection results. - Team
Collaboration:
Effective communication skills for working with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly. - Safety Awareness:
Commitment to maintaining a safe workspace by adhering to safety protocols during inspections. - Basic Computer
Skills:
Competence in using software or systems for logging inspection data and generating reports. - Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
