Overview
Job SummaryCubic | Nuvotronics' Assembly Department is responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of Poly Strata products, using both automated equipment and skilled manual processes. As a Technician II within this team, you will be responsible for supporting prototype and production builds. You will need to exercise judgment on builds and make recommendations to the engineering staff. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Previous experience with manual assembly work of electronic devices is preferred, particularly experience assembling miniature devices under microscopes. This role is for second shift. Expected hours are from 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Role will be expected to work first shift (8:00 AM to 5:30 PM) until training is complete (2-3 months). Nuvotronics works a 9/80 schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assembles electronic components requiring moderate to complex wiring, soldering, and connecting, often under microscopes. A high degree of physical dexterity is required for success.
- Reads and interprets moderately complex notes, schematics, parts lists, and wiring diagrams.
- Sets up, operates, and maintains equipment required to build, repair, and troubleshoot electronic subassemblies and assemblies.
- Adheres to internal and external process standards and quality systems.
- Troubleshoots and corrects failures requiring moderate levels of skill for solution.
- Assists in design and process modifications by compiling data related to manufacturing.
- Develops information concerning previous failures and modifications. Identifies inconsistencies or gaps in data and seeks sources to clarify information, including devising experiments to determine a solution.
- Communicates progress utilizing intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Interface with a digital Shop Floor controller system to track work, progress, and record data collected during processing.
Job Requirements
- Two-year to four years experience with direct electronic experience in assembling digital and analog circuitry or radio frequency components.
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to understand and perform moderately complex technical phases of work.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret technical materials.
- Ability to communicate with general engineering staff, verbally and written.
- Ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.
- May be required to work weekends and holidays to support customer needs.

Salary & BenefitsCubic pay range: $19.11 - $41.41 hourly plus benefits
