About the Role:
As an Automation Process Technician at POLYWOOD, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the production floor. Through equipment upgrades, process optimization, and data‑driven problem solving, this position strengthens product quality, increases throughput, and helps POLYWOOD maintain high standards in sustainable manufacturing to produce our award‑winning furniture.
What You’ll Do:- Develop, implement, and maintain automation systems to enhance production efficiency and consistency
- Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize industrial machinery—including Fanuc robotics and control systems
- Improve production performance using statistical process control and lean practices
- Drive projects focused on equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Provide hands‑on support during line startups, including debugging and training
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation for equipment, processes, and improvements
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex problems and elevate quality standards
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience as an Automation or Process Technician in a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to troubleshoot control systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, robotic)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and data‑driven decision making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with technical documentation
- Bonus points for experience with:
- Vision systems (e.g., Fanuc iRVision, Cognex)
- PLC programming (Rockwell Automation, Fanuc)
- CAD/CAM software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mastercam)
