The primary function of this role is to keep all assigned cards running properly by blowing out cards and fixing sliver breaks.

The Role

• Keep all assigned cards running properly, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and supplying empty containers.
• Blow our cards according to the card cleaning schedule.
• Fix sliver breaks on assigned card machines.
• Collects waste at end of shift and take it to the waste hopper.
• Blow off card coilers once a shift.
• Walk around machine and make sure bands are properly placed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Housekeeping responsibilities as assigned.

The Requirements

• Ability to walk/push/pull or stand for a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to recognize defective products on the card machines.
• Hand strength
• The ability to lift at least 30-50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must be able to Identify band colors, tube and cone color .
• Ability to follow work instructions and procedures.
• Ability to speak and understand some English.
