The Maintenance Worker position performs preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision.

• Assists in the installation of new equipment.
• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
• Trains Level 1 and 2 Maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoots and repairs process machinery and ospd hydraulic equipment.
• Changes electrical breakers and electrical starters; operates voltage, amp, and ohm meters.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
• Uses assigned safety equipment (bump cap, safety glasses or goggles, welding protection, safety harness) and follows all Company safety rules and regulations.
• Attends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience with rendering or other similar equipment.
• Advanced welding, piping and fabrication skills a must.

• Vocational school training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and equipment operations.
• General mechanical aptitude; able to diagnose problems with motors and other equipment.
• Good math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Must pass skills test on 480 V combination starter/breaker box and control voltage for combination box.
• Demonstrated advanced welding skills.

The role געג involves working in an industrial environment with exposure to high noise levels, strong odors, heat and cold. Employees may also be exposed to biohazard conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and may have to handle potentially hazardous Complete equipment. The position requires frequent handling of weights up to 100 pounds, use of hand tools, walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders.

Adequate vision and good math skills are also required.
