Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company located in Whitsett, NC.

Position:
Paint Technician – Hourly, Night Shift (Monday‑Thursday, 5:00 pm to 5:00 am) with a 15% shift premium. Reporting to the Paint Department Manager, the role maintains production and quality standards.

• Maintain production according to the production schedule and quality procedures.
• Apply paint tools and techniques to achieve manufacturer tolerances.
• Perform proper masking techniques and applications.
• Use a crane for heavier loads and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Work in a standing environment for 8–10 hours per day.
• Work 45+ hours per week, with occasional weekend work.
• Meet deadlines while working under minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot and problem‑solve painting issues.
• Maintain safety, mask, and procedure compliance.
• Document work and collaborate with teammates.

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 2–3 years of painting experience, preferably on machined parts or components.
• Experience in Aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Technical education in Paint or Collision Repair (preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude; ability to work independently.
• Current good analytical and detail‑oriented skills.

• Ability to spray to desired or manufacturer tolerances.
• Good masking technique knowledge.
• Comfortable operating a crane for heavier loads.
• Willingness to work 45+ hours/week with occasional weekend duty.
