As a Flatwork Sewer at Bernhardt, you ll play a key role in our production process, responsible for:

• Sewing complete flatwork jobs for all inside and outside upholstery parts/pieces.
• Thriving in a fast-paced production environment.
• Operating industrial sewing machines to sew parts (arms, backs, etc.) and flatwork to meet production schedules.
• Working with complex fabrics, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Following tickets to ensure accuracy from customer order to product.
• Maintaining efficiency and meeting quality standards.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in furniture flatwork sewing.
• Ability to flow match and line up fabrics.
• Proficiency in reading sewing specifications.

• Full-time availability.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift/handle/carry 25 lbs. or more.
• Comfortable with long periods of sitting.
• Able to work independently.
