Level C refrigeration mechanics have no RETA certification, but are enrolled/completing Level I certification within 6 months of hire; handle routine refrigeration preventative maintenance and repairs. Receive OJT (on‑the‑job) training for the operation, maintenance, and controls of plant refrigeration equipment. Work under supervision for all repairs and maintenance.

• Handles basic routine refrigeration preventative maintenance and repair.
• Complete work orders as assigned.
• Set up/tear down/adjust equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, assess and coordinate proper resources to address problem.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Lock out / Tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
• Must be able to work 6:30PM - 6:30AM.

• High School or Technical training.
• 1–2 years related experience in HVAC or Trade.
• RETA I certification within 6 months of hire. Haz Mat training. Mechanical aptitude. Understands the basic theory, practical knowledge, and skills to safely and successfully function as an entry‑level mechanic.
