Summary
The Burlington operation in Raeford, NC has been proudly producing dress uniform fabric for the US Military for more than 50 years. We are currently looking to fill multiple Electrical Technician positions.
Job Overview
The purpose of the Electrical Technician is to assist in the installation and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial textile machinery and equipment. This role also provides maintenance repairs to industrial machinery to support continuous manufacturing. Uses man lifts, forklifts, hoists, and all electrical testing equipment required. Must work safely following all safety policies and procedures. Overtime is available.
This individual is expected to perform as a professional, highly skilled maintenance person, capable of analyzing causes of breakdowns and carrying out corrective measures.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Notify your supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss, or on-the-job injury.
- Work safely each day and promote safety among team members.
- Follow basic industrial NFPA electrical code.
- Read electrical/electronic schematics and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Perform fusing, thermal overload protection, wire sizing, motor theory, etc.
- Understand AC, DC, and Servo drive systems.
- Conduct motor control and power circuit troubleshooting safely.
- Troubleshoot using schematics and laptops, including PLC logic.
- Fully troubleshoot drives, including DC and AC variable frequency drives.
- Understand and tune control loops, ensure proper grounding and shielding.
- Understand gas burner systems, troubleshooting, and tuning.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical gear, link chains, and belts.
- Install and repair complex industrial equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Replace faulty electrical components.
- Attend annual training for new electrical & PLC systems.
- Use PPE properly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Computer and Software Competencies

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical training in industrial control systems, electrical/electronic engineering
- PLC training
Preferably three years of related maintenance experience involving electrical and electronic components. Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions. Capable of working independently and producing high-quality work.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
- Climb on/off forklifts and lifts
- Stand for 7-10 hours
- Climb and descend stairs
- Lift and push/pull 50 lbs
- Work in temperature extremes and noisy environments
- Handle objects and perform repetitive movements
