As Senior Director of Enterprise Quality Execution
, you will drive Ashley's quality improvement initiatives spanning U.S. manufacturing, third-party vendors, and international production teams. Transform quality improvement from reactive problem-solving to proactive, disciplined execution that delivers customer-facing results and positions Ashley as the industry leader.
Drive Quality Portfolio & Strategy
- Own comprehensive quality improvement portfolio across domestic manufacturing, third-party importation, and international operations
- Manage project portfolio budgeting and quality improvement investment allocation
- Ensure robust project flow with consistent categorization by complexity and value
- Track closure speed, project outcomes, and quality improvements across all teams
Lead Execution & Accountability
- Coordinate regular review meetings with U.S. factories, vendor teams, and international quality teams
- Drive effective project prioritization, category management, and rapid execution
- Apply "Dirty Fingernail" philosophy—inspect what you expect through hands-on engagement
- Escalate urgent or high-impact quality concerns for rapid executive response
Champion Quality Disciplines
- Uphold rigorous corrective and preventative action (CAPA) methodologies throughout project life cycles
- Resolve root causes to prevent recurrence, not just symptoms
- Oversee project closure ensuring significant, customer-facing quality improvements
- Drive competitive speed positioning Ashley as a leader in quality improvement efficacy
Build Systems & Communicate
- Establish communication channels with retail partners to relay project progress and outcomes
- Develop dashboards and reporting for executive visibility into quality performance
- Work boundarylessly across departments, geographies, and partners
- Influence manufacturing teams, third-party vendors, and retail support teams
Develop Talent & Lead Teams
- Manage quality project leaders with coaching and mentorship
- Build capabilities in formal project management and quality disciplines
- Foster leadership culture where teams take ownership of quality outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years in quality management, project portfolio leadership, or manufacturing operations
- Proven experience coordinating multi-site, cross-functional quality improvement initiatives
- Success managing direct teams and cross-functional teams for rapid project execution
Preferred
- Master's degree or MBA
- PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean certification
- Experience in furniture manufacturing or consumer products
