* The General Manager is responsible for overall Planning, Organizing, leading, and controlling (P-O-L-C) functions of the facility. In addition, the General Manager will manage all aspects of the P-O-L-C framework with the goal of leading the facility and staff to meet budget, revenue, and customer satisfaction standards. Through a thorough understanding of Copart policies and practices, the General Manager will create a customer first environment for internal and external customers by offering unique and innovative solutions that meet customer needs while maintaining company standards for policy, quality, and service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Partners with HR to attract, recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high performing team  
• Trains and develops staff to meet company guidelines and expectations  
• Ensures consistent communication, feedback, and timely delivery of annual Continuous Improvement Summaries  
• Leads with an innovative, creative, and inspirational leadership style  
• Holds staff accountable with fairness and consistency to drive performance  
• Builds a highly engaged team focused on execution, innovation, productivity, and developing future leaders  
• Demonstrates high integrity in all interactions and decision making  
• Proactively manages performance and addresses opportunities quickly  
• Manages day to day facility operations, serving as a subject matter expert in office and yard processes  
• Recruits and maintains appropriate sub haulers to support logistics  
• Ensures compliance with System Quality, Field Quality, Equipment, and Safety Reviews  
• Escalates concerns that could negatively impact the facility, employees, or customers to the Regional Manager  
• Sets clear goals and ensures employees leverage tools for success  
• Ensures compliance with county, state, EPA, OSHA, and DMV regulations  
• Communicates company goals and initiatives clearly across the location  
• Manages customer relationships including buyers, sellers, and internal stakeholders  
• Identifies knowledge and skill gaps and implements development solutions  
• Serves as a brand ambassador for the company’s mission, vision, values, and culture  
• Communicates effectively with all leadership levels in both written and verbal formats  
• Supports local and non local CAT events as needed  
• Owns understanding of the facility Profit and Loss statement  
• Identifies opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs  
• Performs other duties as assigned by Regional Manager or upper management

Required

Skills and Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of management, military, or relevant experience preferred  
Proven track record of operational excellence and execution of corporate goals  
• Metric driven mindset  
• Experience supporting and leading change initiatives  
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt style to audience  
• Strong relationship building skills  
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
