, based in North Wilkesboro, NC
, will be responsible for building and sustaining the readiness of the Air Response Team in the areas of Personnel, Training, Operations, Logistics, and Mission Management. Are you gifted in leading operational processes, problem-solving, and have a passion to serve? This position exists as Samaritan's Purse desires to maintain an "in-house" air response capability to respond in the aftermath of a disaster, both domestically and in the Caribbean.

A day in the life of an Air Response Team Manager:

In the role of Air Response Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Build and sustain the readiness of the Air Response Team in the following areas:
    Personnel, Training, Operations, Logistics, and Mission Management.
  • Coordinate and synchronize activities across Samaritan's Purse Departments that enable mission success. Departments include, but are not limited to: COO, Projects, NAM, MAS Wilkes, MAS Greensboro, Legal, Communications, Broadcast, etc.
  • Generate and refine Concepts of Deployment and Employment in order to ensure the Air Response Team can achieve all assigned missions.
  • Drive change through serving as an "innovation hub" for Mission Management-related requirements. Specifically, introduce and test IT Mission Management solutions that could be utilized across Samaritan's Purse.
  • Assist the portfolio manager by building and maintaining relationships with external organizations, both ministry partners such as Jungle Aviation and Relay Service, and other organizations such as the U.S. Army.
  • Support the COO by providing Mission Management-related expertise/recommendations regarding the development of Samaritan's Purse-wide command posts.
  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers.
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, volunteers, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public within the workplace, in the community, and before the general public.
  • Reflect Godly character by conducting activities in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Christian Code of Conduct, Statement of Fidelity to the Holy Scriptures and Distinct Objectives.

  • Master's Degree (M.

    A.) or equivalent and seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience leading cohesive teams in challenging environments; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
