Warehouse Manager – #003204 Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operation of the University’s warehouse in support of Facilities Management and Residential Living, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, control, and distribution of housekeeping, maintenance, and construction supplies, tools, and equipment.
This position manages a formal inventory control system, prepares inventory replenishment estimates for state contract purchases, verifies incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and ensures timely fulfillment of departmental requisitions.
The role also supervises warehouse staff and operations, maintains appropriate stock levels and rotation, and manages surplus or damaged property in accordance with state requirements.
Work is performed with considerable independence and is evaluated based on operational efficiency, accuracy of inventory records, and the effective stewardship of facilities and materials.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operation of the University's warehouse in support of Facilities Management and Residential Living.
- Ensure efficient receipt, storage, control, and distribution of housekeeping, maintenance, and construction supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a formal inventory control system and prepare inventory replenishment estimates for state contract purchases.
- Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality and ensure timely fulfillment of departmental requisitions.
- Supervise warehouse staff and operations, maintain appropriate stock levels and rotation, and manage surplus or damaged property.
- Ensure compliance with state requirements and evaluate performance based on operational efficiency and accuracy of inventory records.
- Considerable knowledge of warehouse management principles and practices, including inventory control, materials handling, and stock rotation.
- Ability to maintain accurate perpetual and physical inventory records, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare routine and periodic reports.
- Ability to analyze usage patterns and estimate the type and quantity of supplies, materials, and equipment required to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ability to interpret and apply purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel and coordinate daily warehouse operations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, and members of the general public.
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of supervisory experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary and BenefitsAnticipated Hiring Range: $46,315. Salary Band Range: $35,880 – $100,808.
