Human Resources Assistant

Overview

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for a wide range of tasks that support the HR department's operations. Under the direction of the Employee Relations Manager, this role performs administration duties and always serves as the face of the company when assisting a diverse employee population.

• Communication: Act as a liaison on behalf of all employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of issues and or concerns. Meet and greet external customers and direct them accordingly.
• Employee Inquiries: Manage and document employee inquiries related to policies, payroll, attendance and company regulations.
• HR Databases: Maintain employee records and HR databases such as Oracle HCM, Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) and Oracle 12c.
• HR Projects: Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, as well as support new hire onboarding.

• First shift position, hours 7:00am - 3:30pm, some Saturdays and occasional OT.
• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Creole are preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiar with databases and/or common Human Resources systems.
• Ability to work in a high volume/fast-paced environment.
