Job DescriptionZachry Group is searching for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the North Carolina Employment team. This role supports the Talent Acquisition team by sourcing candidates, building relationships, and streamlining onboarding. It partners with Recruiters to develop hiring strategies and ensures a high level of customer service while managing daily employment office tasks.
Key responsibilities include onboarding coordination, pre‑employment screenings, new hire packet preparation, applicant support, scheduling, and compliance documentation.
Responsibilities- Provides customer service to employment candidates, assisting candidates with job applications and walking a candidate through the hiring processes.
- Administrative duties include data entry, answering phones, taking messages, filing, etc.
- Performs activities and updates requisitions related to the hiring process (background checks, drug screen, health screen, I‑9 compliance, E‑Verify compliance, employment paperwork, site‑specific requirements).
- Source candidates from multiple internal and external pools.
- Screen candidates to ensure qualification for positions to be filled.
- Maintain pools by departments and geographic region.
- Recruit and assist hiring managers with offers of employment to qualified candidates in a fast‑paced environment.
- Schedule individuals for processing and orientation.
- Update Applicant Tracking System in real time with candidate information and interactions.
- Attend job fairs and/or other industry events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Technical skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to quickly learn an Applicant Tracking Management System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Flexible and able to deal with changing priorities.
- Ability to multitask concurrent tasks.
- Meet deadlines under time constraints.
- Knowledge of employment laws/compliance.
- Prior experience in Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Construction and/or Nuclear Industries.

Employees will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email; use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi‑limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.
