The Catering Sales Manager at Wild Dunes Resort is responsible for selling, planning, and servicing events with a specialized focus on the Wedding and Social markets. This role partners closely with the Director of Events and the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events to drive banquet food and beverage revenue, secure meeting room rentals, and deliver exceptional end‑to‑end event experiences.
Responsibilities include menu planning, agenda development, contract review, and coordination of all hotel meeting and catering services. The Catering Sales Manager acts as the primary liaison between clients and resort departments, facilitating communication before, during, and after events to ensure a seamless and high‑quality experience.
This position will conduct site inspections, host client entertainment, cultivate strong and lasting customer relationships, participate in—and at times lead—event meetings, and actively prospect new business opportunities. Collaboration with the sales and catering team, administrative support, and all operational areas of the resort is essential.

Qualifications
- A genuine desire to meet the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer applications and office software
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Preferably two years of hotel sales or event planning experience

- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing
- Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, etc.)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business levels require
- Ability to maintain attention to detail in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
