* The position evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients who exhibit evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders

* Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional functioning.
* Provide staffing for clinical cases.
* Perform psychotherapeutic intervention or environmental modification based on scientific, evidence-based practice, or other community-accepted standard of care.
* Oversee, administer, and interpret appropriate psychological tests.
* Provide consultation regarding testing and interpreting issues.
* Evaluate test results for preparing diagnostic summaries. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Required to be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations/vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
* Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) and Current Advanced Life Support (ALS).
* Required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
* Requires a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Psychologist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
* This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional;
philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document . Basic Requirements for Clinical Psychologist Degree:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below :
Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients who exhibit evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), or more current accepted standard and functions as an authoritative source of information regarding the use and interpretation of psychological tests; monitoring, approving, and documenting clinical treatment plans and clinical records in timely fashion;
providing staffing for clinical cases, including in emergency consultation and crisis scenarios; performing psychotherapeutic intervention or environmental modification based on scientific, evidence-based practice, or other community-accepted standard of care. AND Licensure:
This position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (

EDUCATION:
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
