Overview
Develops, plans, organizes and evaluates educational activities to prepare staff and volunteers to achieve organizational goals and improve patient outcomes as measured via performance improvement. Actively plans and participates with credentialing of clinical staff. Develops evaluation processes that measure staff reactions, results, application of theory, outcomes and return on investment. Participates in the interview process, evaluates potential hires and recommends applicants.
Coordinates staff orientation with senior paramedics. Maintains current educational materials. Maintains accurate and organized training records, which are up to date at all times.
Education/formal training/licensures/certification experience:
Associates Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Current NC Paramedic certification. National Registry preferred. First Health Specialty Care Transport Paramedic credentialing required within 6 months. Current valid NC driver’s license with a good driving history. Required 3 years full time experience in a paramedic position, or 3 years in an EMS leadership capacity, or a combination of paramedic or leadership experience and education.
Experience in delivering an educational program approved by NCOEMS is also preferred.
