Overview
Licensed Clinical Social Worker / LCSW role at Potomac Management Solutions, LLC. The position is part time (30 hours per week) supporting the operation of a student residential training facility at the Kittrell Job Corps Center, located northeast of Durham & Raleigh in Kittrell, NC. Job Corps is a government-funded, no-cost education and vocational training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor.

- Provide clinical services within the Center including diagnostic and evaluative services for students who are inpatients or outpatients; provide limited forms of psychiatric treatment as permitted by licensure or accreditation.
- Deliver staff development and advisory support to the Center Director and health and wellness staff on mental health matters and the overall Center program, including staffing requirements.
- Consult on developing a system to coordinate and integrate the mental health and wellness program with other Center programs (counseling, residential life, recreation) in collaboration with Health and Wellness Manager, Center physician and other health professionals.
- Advise wellness course instructors on mental health and wellness services during student orientation to Center life; collaborate with health and wellness staff, counselors, residential advisors, instructors, and other staff on ongoing student mental health concerns.
- Assist in program development to address life crises and support career preparation, development, transition periods, disciplinary programs, benefits programs, cultural awareness, and TEAP (trainee employee assistance program).
- Provide staff development on mental health principles and techniques, including coping with alcohol and drug use, sexuality, aggression, and communication challenges.
- Advise the Center Director on reasonable accommodations, including the cost of mental health services and use of inpatient facilities when applicable.
- Ensure maintenance, confidentiality, and safeguarding of mental health records; issue and maintain signed and dated health care guidelines on mental health matters.
- Provide TEAP consultation services and collaborate with TEAP Specialist on students with co-morbid psychiatric and substance abuse disorders; review folders and assist with reasonable accommodation processes.
- Provide clinical support to students and TEAP services as needed to promote student well-being and successful program outcomes.
- Active license to practice as an LCSW or Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
- At least one year of non-internship post-graduation experience in a similar setting with license.
