Labor and Delivery - LD RN - Travel Nurse
Join Total Med as a Labor and Delivery RN for an immediate travel nurse opening in Rutherfordton, NC.
OverviewWe’re looking for RNs with a minimum of three years of recent acute‑care experience to provide comprehensive care for women before, during, and after delivery in a high‑volume labor and delivery unit.
Responsibilities- Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
- Monitor contractions and assist patients with breathing techniques.
- Check cervix periodically to monitor progression and dilation.
- Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after the birthing process.
- Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
- Provide immediate care for newborns.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent acute‑care experience.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, AWHONN, NRP, STABLE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lean, and stoop for prolonged periods; lift up to 20 lbs comfortably and up to 50 lbs when required.
- Strong stress‑management skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Competitive weekly pay of $1,489 to $1,711.
