Teacher Assistant
RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring for a Teacher Assistant. This role provides educational support to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health and/or substance use challenges. Job Responsibilities- Assist teacher and conduct activities that meet the needs of each individual (Integrative Activities).
- Assure class schedules and other routines are followed. Assist in the development of activities for week-ends and holidays.
- Assist in basic care of individuals, including instruction in such skills.
- Collect appropriate data as assigned. Record progress of individuals as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. with at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- A valid driver's license in the state of residence may be required.
- Complete criminal background check.
- Name checked in registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
- Drug testing.
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required).
- Positions that require driving: proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, if required for providing transportation for individuals.
