Must have knowledge of medical terminology, must be self-motivated, & be able to exercise sound judgement in response to inquiries by patients & visitors. Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, concentrate on tasks being performed, & be adaptable to change. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to perform duties quickly & accurately. Must be computer literate.
Responsibilities- Assisting patients, answering questions, and greeting them
- Handling phone calls, call bells, and inquiries, and communicating with other departments, physicians, and guests
- Managing patient admissions and discharges
- Coordinating with medical staff to relay important information, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality
- Ensure that necessary forms and documentation are completed
- Support the emergency department by organizing and prioritizing tasks, assisting with patient flow, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Completion of high school or its equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology
Basic knowledge of computers
