Overview
The Paramedic functions as a member of the care team and participates in the care of ill and injured patients. Responsibilities include patient care, incorporating stabilization, and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director. The Paramedic functions as part of a team and shares responsibility for the team's conduct. The Paramedic fulfills education skill requirements as established by the Medical Director, and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent is required - or higher.
- Graduate from an approved Paramedic program is required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- Current certification by the State of North Carolina as a Paramedic is required (NC EMT-P Certification)
- Paramedic hourly range > $19.88 - $28.98
- Final compensation is determined at the offer stage.
- Location/Department: ECU Health Duplin (Kenansville, NC) - Emergency Department (ED)
- This position is full-time (36hrs/week) mid shift (11am-11pm) with rotating holidays, and weekends.
ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.
