Position: Occupational Therapist

- Acute Care OT
- Assess patient conditions:
Evaluate patients' conditions and care needs to develop effective treatment plans. - Develop treatment schedules:
Create and implement treatment schedules focused on patients' specific needs and goals. - Evaluate environments:
Assess patients' home and other environments, proposing changes to enhance autonomy and safety. - Teach equipment use:
Instruct patients on the use of specific equipment to aid in their recovery and daily activities. - Document progress:
Measure and document patients' progress for assessments, billing, and reporting purposes. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Outline steps for continued care:
Provide guidance on continued therapy, home exercises, and adaptive techniques for daily activities.
- Educational background:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. - License:
Active NC Occupational Therapist license and OTR registry are required. - Communication skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear collaboration with patients and caregivers. - Empathy and compassion:
Essential qualities for understanding and supporting patients' needs. - Resilience and attention to detail:
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. - Rapid decision-making:
Ability to assess risk and make decisions quickly and effectively. - Problem-solving skills:
Crafting unique solutions tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
