Overview
As a Publix Pharmacy Associate, you’ll experience a patient‑centric environment enriched with clinical services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and more. Responsibilities- Serve as pharmacist‑on‑duty to execute strategies, motivate and inspire staff while ensuring pharmacy success.
- Prioritize daily tasks, support the team, build rapport with customers and associates, and maintain best‑in‑class patient service.
- Lead clinical initiatives such as MTM and immunizations, promote medication safety, and cultivate personalized relationships to enhance customer loyalty.
- Manage team performance, including prescription promise time, by assigning tasks that meet complex operational activities efficiently in the absence of the pharmacist‑in‑charge.
- Utilize pharmacy technology systems for routine and complex prescription processing, mentor others, and maximize sales while minimizing shrink.
- Maintain flexibility in work‑week schedule to meet customer needs and assist in all other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Graduate of a school of pharmacy and possess an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
- Unrestricted participation in private, federal, or state health insurance programs and no active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions upon hire.
- Unacceptable result on a company‑sponsored drug test within the last three years is not required.
- Immunizing pharmacist meeting state requirements or scheduled to become an immunizer in upcoming training.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, problem‑solving ability, numerical and financial aptitude, and knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
