Deer Park Health and Rehab is seeking a dependable and compassionate Activities Assistant to make a meaningful impact on our residents.

• Assist in the development and delivery of daily group and individual activities tailored to residents’ needs and interests
• Help create monthly activity calendars and prepare materials and supplies for scheduled programs
• Encourage resident participation and provide companionship during activities and leisure time
• Transport and assist residents to and from activity areas in a safe and respectful manner
• Maintain attendance records and document resident participation
• Support special events, holiday celebrations, and outings
• Assist with setup and cleanup of activity areas
• Collaborate with nursing staff, volunteers, and family members to ensure a well-rounded program
• Uphold a positive and respectful environment for all residents

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be physically able to assist residents and set up activity areas
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

• Experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing settings
• Basic knowledge of arts, crafts, music, or recreational games
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Part‑time position two days a week, 12p-8p (flexible on the weekends)
• Competitive hourly wage based on experience
