Activities Assistant

Job Title: Activities Assistant Location: Greens at Spruce Pine, Spruce Pine, NC Job Type: Full-Time

At Greens at Spruce Pine, we believe in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team and help bring joy to our senior community.

• Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing recreational programs and activities.
• Lead group and individual activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, and special events.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet varying physical and cognitive abilities.
• Help with transporting residents to and from activity areas.
• Maintain activity supplies and help set up/clean up activity spaces.
• Document resident participation and progress as required.
• Collaborate with other staff to enhance residents’ overall quality of life.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a senior care or recreational setting is a plus.
• Positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to push wheelchairs and assist residents safely.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
