Overview
Job Overview – Controller – 34032
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead our client's financial operations. This role is highly visible and business-critical, partnering closely with local leadership and group-level finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong cash management, and data-driven decision-making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a manufacturing or distribution environment and enjoys combining operational insight with financial rigor. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, given visibility at the executive level, and empowered to help shape financial processes and outcomes.
Compensation: $150K
In this role you will:- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of all financial information
- Oversee and manage the local finance department (1 direct report)
- Produce monthly trial balances and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Manage cash forecasting and actively drive cash collection efforts
- Participate in monthly operational and financial performance reviews with local management and group headquarters
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and external advisors (tax, social, legal)
- Develop and implement operational, commercial, and financial KPIs to help drive business performance and profitability
- Support and participate in the enhancement and improvement of financial accounting systems and processes
- Act as a trusted financial partner to cross-functional teams, providing insight and guidance to support business decisions
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of US accounting standards and practices
- Solid understanding of inventory management and stock valuation
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration with local and group leadership
- Proven experience managing people and developing talent
- Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems strongly preferred
- Highly analytical, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Flexible, agile, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of the organization
