Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Liberty, NC, is looking for dedicated firefighters to join our elite emergency response team! Help protect one of the most advanced battery manufacturing facilities in the world while ensuring the safety of our team and operations.

Entry Level starting at: $21.00 hr. (Base annual: $43,680
). Built‑in overtime (annual estimate: $26,208
).
Opportunity to earn up to $69,888 annually!
24‑hour shifts: 0800–0800. 24 on/24 off/24 on/24 off/24 on/96 off.
New Equipment & Training- New firehouse in operation March 2025.
- All new amenities in the firehouse.
- New Pierce 100‑ft. Ladder Truck in operation.
- New Pierce Engine arrived April 2025.
- Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all SOPs for emergencies.
- Complete incident reports as required.
- Respond to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standardized Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols.
- Perform routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm, fire suppression, and security equipment.
- Perform physical inspections of all fire suppression systems, including manual and automatic alarm initiating smartphones and standpipe hoses.
- Inspect apparatus, security vehicles, and emergency response equipment daily.
- Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and safety hazards; report to supervisor.
- Act as a weather spottermq monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems.
- Approve and inspect all hot works, high‑hazard hot works, and confined space permits.
- Participate in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness.
- Maintain compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandates.
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high‑pressure environment.
- Other duties to be determined by supervisor.
- Minimum of 18 years of fekr age and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Certified Fire 1 and 2.
- EMR or EMT certified.
- Current driver’s license.
- Hazmat Operations certification.
- Pass an NFPA‑1582 physical examination.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software applications, use email.
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and executing radio and ?>< phone> communications in a medium to high‑pressure environment with competing demands.
- Possess above‑average written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.
- Industrial firefighter experience.
