Mechanical Engineer

Location: McLeansville, NC
Pay Rate: Up to $49.00/hour

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 2+ years of job-related experience, OR Master’s degree with 6 months of related experience
Clearance Requirements

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Position Overview

As a Mechanical Analysis Engineer supporting Undersea Mission Systems, you will work within a cross‑functional engineering team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware. This role supports research‑driven development and mission‑critical mechanical system performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical design and structural analysis of undersea hardware systems
  • Support cross‑functional engineering teams throughout the design and development lifecycle
  • Conduct modeling and simulation analysis to validate hardware performance
  • Support prototype development, testing, and fabrication efforts
  • Ensure compliance with technical, government, and industry standards
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience with ANSYS and MATLAB analysis tools (ability to train others preferred)
  • Experience with Shock Grade B analysis
  • Strong knowledge of material specifications and metallurgy
  • Proficiency with CAD modeling tools for mechanical models and drawings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods
  • Experience working within technical and government standards environments

Workplace Options
