Plant Support Engineer

Resinall Corp, an Ergon company, is seeking a Plant Support Engineer for its Severn, NC facility.

This role is hands‑on support and supervisory, coordinating daily maintenance while providing technical support. The Plant Support Engineer will proactively identify opportunities to predict, prevent, and reduce equipment failures to improve reliability and performance.

The position supports capital projects, including developing and preparing capital requests. Reports directly to Plant Manager.

• BS degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, or chemical)
• 1‑2 years experience in a petrochemical environment recommended.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Access recommended.

• Monitor and improve maintenance work orders to decrease failures and increase efficiency.
• Provide technical/engineering support to Maintenance Dept and coordinate multi‑discipline work.
• Schedule non‑routine maintenance work including inspections, turnarounds and emergency shutdowns.
• Maintain files for plant equipment containing repair summaries, purchasing documentation, and costs.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance system within CMMS.
• Develop and maintain predictive maintenance program.
• Participate in Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Manage Piping Alteration and Repair Program.
• Develop completed project design specifications from basic ideas.
• Organize, prepare and conduct project reviews with key personnel to develop details.
• Monitor progress of assigned projects to verify schedule and budget requirements.
• Review project details and equipment with Maintenance personnel to address maintenance interests.
• Prepare detailed project estimates and cost justifications for project approvals.
• Implement project schedules as needed for efficient completion.
• Manage assigned projects from approval through completion.
• Secure and coordinate contract consulting, engineering and design services for supplemental design assistance.
• Specify and procure parts and equipment as needed and verify compatibility.
• Create bid specifications and perform bid evaluations.
• Document all phases of project design, construction and installation to verify compliance.
• Initiate, participate in, and ensure completion of Management of Change Procedure for project related activities.
• Ensure startup spares are secured for project related equipment prior to startup and recommend spare parts for life of equipment.
• Ensure equipment files are created and maintained for project related equipment.
• Ensure drawings are updated as needed for assigned projects (plot plans, area classification, P&'s).
• Act as liaison between maintenance, contractors and operations during project execution and engineering support issues.
• Other duties as defined by Plant Manager.
