Altium PCB Designer

Description

Acara Solutions seeks an Altium PCB Designer for our client in McLeansville, NC, who specializes in defense manufacturing.

Pay Rate: $50 to $58/hr DOE.

• As a PCB Designer for Undersea Systems, you'll support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems.
• Documentation capture including bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation.
• Design and develop complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to clarify and refine design documentation.
• Contribute to fabrication and prototyping efforts, ensuring compliance with IPC and manufacturing standards.

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Associate Degree with 7 years of experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Altium Designer 27 or Altium IPC footprint and schematic generators.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with library management practices in Altium or Xpedition.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with schematic capture in Xpedition and Altium is valuable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Footprint Expert.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience using Altium for PCB design.

• Knowledge of PCB layout tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition, DXdatabook, Board Station, Hyperlynx).
• 3D modeling in Solidworks, NX, or CREO.
• Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
• In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages.

• Requires an active Secret Clearance.
