Summary Of PositionThe Engineering Services Technician is responsible for setup, installation, troubleshooting, testing and repair of complex electrical and electronic equipment, including automatic machines and process controls, motor control centers and related controls, computer control systems (some with human‑machine interfaces), as well as basic plant electrical and mechanical equipment; participates in preventive/predictive maintenance activities related to all plant and production components and systems;
responsible for maintaining the plant calibration system to ISO standards.
- Reviews and accurately reports personal activities on a daily, or more frequent, basis
- Assists the Engineering Manager in determining proper installation and/or repair procedures for electrical and electronic equipment as well as mechanical and electro‑mechanical equipment
- Notifies the Engineering Manager if additional hand, power, or electronic diagnostic tools are required
- Participates in establishing and maintaining effective preventive maintenance programs
- Assures that safe work practices and company policies are adhered to at all times
- Assists Engineering Manager in establishing and maintaining optimum inventory levels of critical components
- Assists Engineering Department in planning existing equipment upgrades, and establishing specifications for new equipment
- Assists Engineering Department in archiving accurate equipment blueprints and operational documents
- Assists Engineering Department in archiving accurate equipment operating, testing and development software
- Performs other responsibilities as directed by the Engineering Manager
