Overview
Xpedition PCB Designer (ECAD Librarian) –
Location:
McLeansville, NC (Onsite with some Hybrid flexibility)
• Pay Rate: $57.77/hr
The Xpedition PCB Designer will support CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) development for high-reliability undersea communication systems. This role focuses on ECAD library management and PCB layout design supporting mission-critical defense programs.
ResponsibilitiesSupport CCA development for undersea electronic systems
Perform PCB layout design using Mentor Graphics Xpedition
Manage ECAD component libraries and parts request workflows
Generate and maintain documentation packages (BOMs, ODB++, fabrication files, 3D models)
Support schematic capture activities in Xpedition
Create and maintain PCB footprints and 3D models
Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to clarify design documentation
Apply IPC and fabrication standards to ensure manufacturability and reliability
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required
7+ years of relevant PCB design and ECAD experience
Minimum 2+ years of Mentor Graphics Xpedition experience
Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes
Experience with library management practices
Experience with Mentor Graphics suite tools (xDM, Xpedition, DXdatabook, Board Station, Hyper Lynx) or Altium
Knowledge of Xpedition parts request system and Footprint Expert Enterprise
3D model creation using Solid Works, NX, or CREO
Circuit design and hands-on prototyping experience
Working knowledge of IPC and PCB manufacturing standards
In-depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturing teams
Department of Defense Secret clearance preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable time after hire.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Onsite in McLeansville, NC with some hybrid flexibility
9/80 schedule option (every other Friday off)
