This Position reports to: R&D Department/Local Unit Lead

• Prototyping and testing electrical distribution products. Prototyping will include material handling, assembly, and instrumentation of large and medium sized switch gear.
• Testing will include temperature rise testing, dielectric testing, environmental testing, and endurance testing.
• Material handling and coordination for test projects
• Assembly and modifications of test objects
• Safely execute high voltage and high current testing
• Understand and verify test results
• Identify and help create new test equipment and fixtures to improve efficiency of testing
• Maintain existing test equipment

• 2-year degree in electrical/electronic technology
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience and understanding of electrical systems and electrical safety
• Experience with meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, test, and data acquisition systems
• Experience with low voltage and medium voltage switch gear
• Position requires domestic and international travel
