Maintenance Engineering Tech (Electrical)
Title: Maintenance Engineering Technician
Location: Liberty, NC
Duration: 12+ Months (with high possibility of extension)
Required Travel: 30% domestic and international:
Japan for meetings and observations (may be after 3 months of hire)
- We need someone highly technical with electrical circuits who would be doing modification of PLC programming and build the programming from scratch if required.
- Candidate should be proficient with relay logic and status of different switches in the electrical circuits.
- Soft skills:
team player, willing to teach others, positive attitude, self‑starter, flexible to work on different schedules.
- Test and repair electrical equipment or systems (involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.).
- Strong ability to write, program, troubleshoot, modify and/or repair programmable logic controllers, robotics, cameras, and other electronic equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, machine components hydraulic and pneumatic.
- Plan and execute machine integration into mass production, levelling, adjustment and quality conformation for assigned work area.
- Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
- Ability to problem‑solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Develop denwacho (detail schedule) for assigned work area / project.
- Participate in project planning with Engineering.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes.
- Supporting machine production trials at vendors and internal to our client.
- Certify safety of equipment per MMR/MMS (NFPA
79 and ISO standards) via “Safety Integrity Check.”
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equipment installation and debugging experience.
- Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Technical experience with PLCs in programming, including read, write and modify logic.
- Technical experience with servo motion controllers.
- Technical experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting.
- Technical experience with robotics including programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading.
- Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
- Ability for business travel, both domestic and international — up to 30%.
- Technical associate degree or higher or equivalent experience.
- Experience in pre‑production set up.
- Experience with production processes including standardized work (STW) and job instruction sheets (JIS).
- Experience gathering and analysing quality data from multiple sources.
- New plant or facility startup experience.
- Experience with high‑volume production in a clean room environment.
