About the RoleWe are seeking an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician for our Protection and Automation Panel Assembly Workshop (PA PAWS) team on 1st shift in Wendell, NC. As an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician, you will be responsible for the final testing and inspection of Industrial Control Panels (ICPs) that power automation and control systems for electrical substations. These panels support medium‑voltage distribution equipment and play a critical role in protection and automation applications.

7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (1st shift)
Hourly Rate: $25.00
- Perform final electro‑mechanical inspections, ensuring panels meet company quality standards.
- Conduct nondestructive tests according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports while collaborating with Engineering and technicians’ teams.
- Serve as Manufacturing Technical Representative (MTR) for UL508 compliance (UL Certification training provided).
- Follow all Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
- Associate degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Ability to lift parts or sub‑assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Relevant electrical education or certifications (e.g., wake Tech degree programs).
- 1+ years of experience in testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
- Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
- Experience with various test equipment, including Hi‑pot testing.
- Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting.
