Location: East Spencer

This leadership role is responsible for advancing safety, health, environmental, and process safety performance across multiple operational sites. The position partners closely with site and corporate leadership to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed best-in-class process safety and environmental practices. This is a high‑visibility role offering the opportunity to influence strategy, drive meaningful change, and make a measurable impact without direct line authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and influence continuous improvement of safety culture across operational and manufacturing environments.
  • Support the deployment and ongoing enhancement of process safety, operational safety, and environmental management frameworks.
  • Evaluate facility hazards related to process safety, occupational safety, and environmental risk, and guide implementation of effective controls.
  • Partner with site leadership to strengthen compliance with internal standards and applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop, support, and promote inspection programs, audits, and performance reviews to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of safety and environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to site leaders and safety professionals to strengthen local ownership of SHE programs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate key SHE performance metrics, driving data‑based improvements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operations by balancing risk reduction, operational needs, and business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced education in process safety preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within safety, health, environmental, or process safety functions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SHE programs within chemical or high‑hazard manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in process safety management, including hazard analysis and risk assessment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining environmental and safety management systems.
  • Ability to influence across multiple sites and levels of the organization without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
