Execute Capital projects: 1-2 large (electrical/controls replacement/upgrade) per year. Demo cabinets, install new Panels, new PLCs, new VFDs, and review programming with vendors for company standards. Execute one to two additional assigned projects. Manage the planning and execution of capital projects according to established requirements. Develop proposals, schedules, cost control, risk mitigation, and commissioning for projects. Work with a multifunctional team to ensure manufacturing equipment is operating correctly.
Identify, fund, and implement process improvements and capability changes.
A day in your life might include
- Manage capital projects ranging from $10,000 to $5,000,000.
- Investigate operational problems and work with multi-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Develop and align with stakeholders on requirements for assigned projects.
- Work with maintenance, operations, and quality during daily direction setting (DDS) team meetings to ensure a robust manufacturing process.
- Develop capital project submissions employing clear and concise project documentation.
- Coordinate and review contractor and vendor activity and interface with plant personnel, ensuring compliance with plant and corporate standards.
- Prioritize control system for replacement/upgrade.
- Check safety standards / controls reliable.
- Assist with process control audit.
- Assist maintenance with higher-level troubleshooting usually databases.
- Cross-Functional Partners Including Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams, ensuring every project is aligned with plant performance goals.
- Project Stakeholders You’ll identify all individuals impacted by your projects, lead meetings to gather input, and ensure alignment from concept to execution.
