Under the guidance of the Director of Electrical & Controls Specialty Engineering, you’ll lead medium-complexity engineering projects from concept through completion. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to design, develop, and execute capital projects that directly impact plant performance, safety, and sustainability.
A day in your life might include…
Project Leadership & Execution
- Plan, conduct, schedule, and oversee electrical engineering projects from concept through completion
- Execute design across all phases of engineering projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide on-site support and project coordination to ensure successful implementation
- Perform preliminary design and review final design packages
- Analyze and solve component and equipment design challenges
- Create conceptual sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions for team members
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and Campbell’s design requirements
- Deliver high-quality workmanship and conduct quality assurance checks
- Establish and maintain Campbell Soup Company design standards
- Support engineering studies for new or improved products, processes, or technologies
- Prepare project authorization documents, schedules, cost controls, and RFPs
- Develop functional testing protocols, inspection plans, startup procedures, and training materials
- Create and manage Bills of Material, purchase requisitions, and archived documentation
- Review contractor and vendor activities to ensure compliance with plant and corporate standards
- Interface with plant personnel to align on project goals and execution
- Support effective management of capital funds
- Encourage and apply new methodologies and stay current with technical innovations
- Work with internal and external engineers, designers, and A/E firms
- Interpret vendor drawings and schematics (Instrumentation, Process, Utility, Electrical)
