Responsibilities/Expectations- Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain equipment and support operations; tests, calibrates and validates process safety devices and equipment
- Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
- Follows all company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
- Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with power distribution systems and electrical safety code, applying technical skills, proficiency and technical leadership in the following areas:
Electrical Switchgear, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systems - Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
- Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
- Troubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical systems including both low and high voltage equipment and uninterruptible power supply systems; removes, repairs and reinstalls sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement
- Other duties as assigned
Operations Technician III - LNG
Education/Years of Experience- Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificates
- Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (1) years related experience in natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Associates or two-year technical degree
- Required: High School Diploma/GED
- Preferred: Associates or two-year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates Degree
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination (following a conditional offer of employment)
- Use hand tools
- Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
- May be required to work overtime, 10–12-hour shifts, extended hours, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Qualified to operate the LNG facility in holding mode (boil off gas), liquefaction and vaporization process as well as all associated tasks. Must understand and be able to operate all utility and emergency systems in the facility independently when required. Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments with limited oversight.
