Adjunct Ceramicist — Wheel Throwing (25‑26)
Part‑time adjunct faculty position in the Art Department to teach Ceramics:
Introduction to Wheel during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. The role requires a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in studio art or comparable training and a minimum of 18 graduate‑level hours in studio art.
- Develop and deliver course syllabi, objectives, and materials.
- Teach instructional sessions in wheel throwing, including student evaluation and accurate, timely submission of required paperwork.
- Maintain consistent course quality in collaboration with the program area coordinator.
- Complete self‑evaluation to assess instructional effectiveness and meet office hour requirements.
- Assist with student recruitment and retention as needed.
- MFA in studio art or equivalent graduate training.
- At least two years of undergraduate teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to teach wheel throwing.
- Experience with the Canvas course management system.
- Record of professional development in ceramics education.
