Elementary Teacher; K-4

Teachers at STARS are expected to create welcoming classrooms, build strong connections with students and families, and help parents feel confident that their child is known, valued, and cared for. Results matter but our work begins with relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for elementary students (K4)
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs
• Communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with grade-level and school teams
• Maintain accurate instructional records
• Uphold school policies and professional standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior K4 teaching experience
• Advanced degree and/or National Board Certification

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary aligned to the NC State Salary Schedule
• State retirement and benefits eligible
• Full-time, 10-month instructional position

• Valid North Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility)
• Bachelors degree in Education or related field
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Basic proficiency with instructional technology and data systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of content area and grade-level standards
